UICC Awards: celebrating excellence from across the membership

The 2018 World Cancer Congress will provide the occasion for the first UICC Awards, a celebration of outstanding achievements and innovative practices by UICC member organisations.

Header Paragraph

Bringing together over 1,000 members from 166 countries, the UICC community has a wealth of remarkable leaders, impactful initiatives, inspiring campaigns and collaborative efforts.

With the UICC Awards, we intend to shine a light on our members' success stories and inspire the cancer control community through the efforts of leaders, campaigners, advocates and fundraisers from across the membership. Focusing on areas of leadership and organisational excellence, the awards will seek to identify winners across five categories: the Advocacy with Impact Award, the CEO Award, the Collaborative Initiative Award, the Fundraising Award, and the World Cancer Day Spirit Award.

The overall spirit of the initiative is to inspire and stimulate the cross-fertilisation of ideas and good practices. With this in mind, fifteen finalists - 3 per category - will be featured on the UICC website and social media, with the final winners to be announced at the World Cancer Congress. Whereas each category will have its specific selection criteria, an emphasis will be given across all awards to replicability, impact, sustainability and innovation.

Nominations, reserved to UICC members only, are now sought in all award categories until 8 June 2018. The award ceremony will take place on 2 October 2018, immediately after the UICC General Assembly in conjunction with the World Cancer Congress in Kuala Lumpur, a fitting platform to celebrate our members' achievements.

We encourage all members not to miss the opportunity to be among the first to receive a UICC Award.
