Announced at a special ceremony that was part of the Associations Congress, the award is in ‘recognition of a Chief Executive (Executive Head) of an Association for their work in professional leadership of their organisation’.

Speaking of the honour, Cary said, “I am delighted to receive the prestigious award of CEO of the Year in 2015, not for my own achievements, but in recognition of the incredibly talented and committed UICC Board, team, members and partners around the world, who collectively address cancer on a day-to-day basis.”

Damian Hutt, Executive Director of the organiser of the event, the Associations Network*, said: “The awards focus on the talent that associations consist of, both executive and voluntary. At Associations Network we believe that associations have the ability to lead and develop all sectors and industries and the passion and dedication that associations and their employees put into their work is clear. This should be recognised widely.”

On behalf of UICC’s President, Prof. Tezer Kutluk, the Board of Directors, staff, members and partners – we are extremely proud to congratulate Cary on this great achievement.

*The Associations Network, is an international membership organisation of over 15,000 employees of associations, societies, federations and other membership organisations.
